Privacy Policy
Last updated August 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Kanso Social (“Kanso”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you join the private beta waitlist or use the service. We are currently in a private beta; this policy will be expanded as the product opens up.
Data we collect
We keep collection minimal. Depending on how you interact with us:
- Waitlist data. Your email address, chosen role, and any optional feedback you submit when joining the waitlist.
- Account data. If you create an account, your name, email address, and authentication details (managed securely; we never store passwords in plain text).
- Analytics data. Anonymous, aggregate usage statistics (page views, referrers, device type) collected via a cookieless analytics tool. This does not identify you individually.
How we use your data
- To operate the waitlist and invite cohorts in order.
- To provide, secure, and improve the service.
- To send you meaningful product updates and build notes (never spam; you can unsubscribe at any time).
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies. You control the optional ones through the cookie banner and your preferences.
- Strictly necessary cookies. Keep you signed in and the service secure. These cannot be disabled.
- Functional cookies. Remember preferences like your theme. Optional.
- Analytics cookies. Our current analytics is cookieless, but should we add tools that set cookies, they will only run with your consent. Optional.
Your rights
If you are in the EEA or UK, you have rights under the GDPR, including: access to your data, correction, erasure, portability, restriction, objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, contact us at hello@kanso.social.
Data retention
We keep waitlist and account data only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as required by law. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, and access controls. No method is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated, and the “last updated” date above will change.

This is a starting point drafted for the private beta. Before public launch it should be reviewed by legal counsel and tailored to the registered entity, jurisdiction, and actual data processing.
